News for the Week!
Library Books Are Now Due!
Please help your child search high and low around your house to find all library books. They need to be turned in before May 14th. If your child has lost a book, they will need to see Ms. O'Toole to determine the amount they owe. Teacher Appreciation Week Thank you so much for all your special surprises during the week of Teacher Appreciation. All of you have made my first year at Bay Elementary very special. I hope that you all have a wonderful summer break! 30 Book Challenge Each grade level 1st - 4th has a yearly book challenge. Our goal is for students to read 30 books this school year. Students should be reading at home and in class and taking AR tests weekly. We will be focusing on reading a variety of genres. Each month we will focus on a different genre and students will be expected to read book(s) from that genre. These books can be read as homework and classwork. The challenge is to help motivate students to read a variety of literature. Our genre for May is Free Choice.
